chennai discoveries

Life is not particularly likeable in Chennai. The sole aim of arming myself with a post-grad degree in journalism from this hi-flying J-school is the only thing that keeps me going.

My stay in the college-given accommodation - a two-bedroom apartment, replete with all that jazz: tv, phone, refrigerator, maids and even a coffee maker – does not make my stay any comfortable. I miss Bangalore to the extent that every alternate weekend, I find myself in a train/bus to bengalooru. Ah. Two days of friends, family and love made all the difference.

Monday morning, 4 a.m. reach Chennai railway station/bus stop, wait until I see that tiny streak of dawn and hurry up to catch the first of the dirty green bus to Ashok Nagar. On hindsight, I realise Chennai is making me tough. I learn a lot too, the hard way though.
